A complaint of rape was lodged with Isanpur police station on Wednesday after parents of 14-year-old victim found out she was two months pregnant.
As per police officials, the victim identified as Sunita (name changed), is a standard ninth student. She lives with her family in the Isanpur area. On Monday after her health got bad, her parents took her to the hospital for treatment. During which the parents came to know their 14-year-old daughter was pregnant.
The girl in her police statement narrated that around three months back she had a sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old boy staying nearby, who frequented her home in absense of her parents. It was also revealed that the boy was a family friend.
A complaint was lodged with the Isanpur police station and further investigation is on. SM Patel, inspector of Isanpur police station said, "Right now we have detained the boy, and he is being counselled"
