However, very heavy rain is predicted for S'rashtra region
After the heavy rain on Sunday, the relatively dry Monday came as a relief in the city. Scattered showers were experienced early in the morning and late in the evening. The Met department has predicted rain or thundershowers at a few places in the city on Tuesday.
“Due to the waterlogging after Sunday’s rain, we were afraid we would not be able to step out on Monday,” said Mamta Patel a resident of Ranip.
Meanwhile, Saurashtra and South Gujarat continued to battle heavy rain on Monday, but no casualty was recorded.
“An off-shore trough from Gujarat to Kerala will lead to widespread rainfall in the Gujarat region, Saurashtra and Kutch,” said Jayanta Sarkar, IMD director, Gujarat.
