Overall students reported the exams to be a smooth affair. Mathematics paper was reported to be easy. Each paper of GUJCET carries 40 marks with every wrong answer costing the student 0.25 marks. Ahmedabad alone had 29 centres for the exams. Several arrangements to help the students beat the heat were made at centres in the city, including stock of ORS packets and cold drinking water. Each class had a strength of 20 students and the exams were monitored by CCTV cameras.

It should be noted that the exams for GUJCET had been postponed thrice. Earlier it was postponed after it clashed with the CBSE exams and later after it coincided with the Lok Sabha polls in the state.

Initially, the exams were slated for March 30 and then were postponed to April 4. It was then changed to April 23. Last year too the exams were conducted on the same date. Result of the exams are likely to come June end.
