According to Mumbai University Vice-Chancellor Sanjay Deshmukh, the infrastructure is already in place.

"A six-storey building is being constructed for the exam house which will be ready by April. There would be centrally air condition halls with computers and scanners. Orientation sessions and workshops will be conducted for the examiners ahead of the evaluation," Deshmkuh said in a press conference.

“University examinations answer papers of all courses will be scanned and examiners will be given a password, which will allow them to access the papers and evaluate them on the screen itself," he said.

Stating that the digital evaluation will have less human interference, he added, "Papers will be sealed as soon as they are corrected and hence there will be no physical copies piled up with examiner. This means less cases of malpractice, and increased efficiency and transparency. Also results can be announced in 15-20 days."
