If the first day on Saturday of CAP for standard XI witnessed high drama with a woman threatening to commit suicide, the remaining two days went off smoothly, said a CAP member.

He said, “There were parents who had secured admissions to colleges that are unaided. These parents are financially weak and cannot afford to pay the fees. But we couldn’t help them out either. Thus, many of them are waiting for the waiting list to be declared so that they can seek admission to aided colleges.”

Admissions for standard XI at 165 junior colleges in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad started on Saturday. The merit list was declared by the standard XI centralised admission process (CAP) committee on Friday afternoon.

The CAP committee declared the merit list for 50,001 seats of various junior colleges and has uploaded the comprehensive list on its websites www.dydepune.com and www.punenet.net.
