First circus academy inaugurated in Kerala
Kerala home minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that the standard of the circus academy should be raised to an international level.
Kerala sports minister, M Vijayakumar, today launched the first circus academy, in the country, at a function at the nearby Chirakkuni, in Thalassery.Speaking on the occasion, Vijayakumar said that Kerala was going backward with regard to physical fitness.Kerala home minister, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, said that the standard of the circus academy should be raised to an internation level.Ten acres of land were earmarked for the academy at Kundoor mountain, here, and steps will be initiated to acquire the land this year itself, he said.
