Students at the Gujarat University (GU) are a worried lot. Even after two months of completion of Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) exams, the varsity is yet to declare its results. The exam was conducted in November last year, states officials at the varsity.

Member of executive council at GU, Manish Doshi blamed lack of adequate manpower at the varsity for the delay.  He said that GU doesn't have enough staff, teachers for compulsory subjects. He said, in this situation students should not expect results on time.

Ideally, the results should be out within 40 days. According to information available, there were 28,000 students in first year BA; 31,000 in commerce and 5,000 in science. First year BBA and BCA had 5,000 students while MCom and MSc has 11,000 students.
