Save the Children UK shows the devastating effect of the refugee crisis on the life of children. In the video a young girl is shown going about her normal life, and then how it all turns upside down. The Public Service Announcement (PSA) aims to bring the reality that is routine in countries wracked with conflict like Iraq and Syria, to those who very easily shrug it off.
The Save The Children Fund, commonly known as Save the Children, is an international non-governmental organization that promotes children's rights, provides relief and helps support children in developing countries.
The PSA ends with a powerful message: "Just because it's not happening here.... doesn't mean it's not happening."
The PSA won the Clio Award for Film Technique, and has received over 56 million views since its release in 2014.
