An american TV news anchor working at Russia Today new channel, tendered her resignation while on air. Liz Wahl, announced during her newscast, "I cannot be part of a network funded by the Russian government that whitewashes the actions of Putin. I'm proud to be an American and believe in disseminating the truth, and that is why, after this newscast, I'm resigning."
Earlier this month, another RT anchor Abby Martin criticised Russia's recent move in Crimea while on air, saying, "Russian intervention in the Crimea is wrong." Incidently, Liz Wahl had tweeted about her, refering to her as 'My girl':
