In an incident that one would imagine happened only in India, the US' former secretary of state Hillary Clinton had a shoe thrown at her during a live speech in Las Vegas. The incident took place while Clinton was on stage at the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries meeting when the object was hurled at her by an unidentified woman from the crowd.
And even though the former first lady ducked the attack, she managed to joke about it later, saying, “Good thing she didn’t play softball like I did,” as quoted by the Associated Press.
