Boko Haram on Monday said it was responsible for the abduction of hundreds of schoolgirls in northern Nigeria that has led to growing international outrage and demands for an immediate rescue mission.

Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau in the video can be heard saying, "I abducted a girl at a western education school and you are disturbed. I said western education should end. Girls, you should go and get married."

Holding the script in one hand and a gun hung on one shoulder he further says, "I will sell them in the market, by Allah. There is a market for selling humans. Allah says I should sell. He commands me to sell. I will sell women. I sell women."
