Key Highlights: 

* Republicans holding on to Senate. They are likely to gain at least three seats. Democrats are set to retake House. 

* 26 House flips for Democrats so far

* 3 Senate flip for Republicans with Donnely losing in Indiana and Heitkamp in North Dakota. McCaskill lost in Missouri. They also look in pole position to win in Florida. However, Republican incumbent has lost in Nevada. So Republicans have currently won 2 seats more than last time so far. 

* Mississippi special election has gone to a run-off 

* Close Senate election going on in Arizona and Florida. 

* Democrats needed to pick up 23 seats to win back House

* Among Governor's race, Democrats have flipped 7 seats. But they failed to make history in Florida and Georgia. 

* A House win for Democrats possibly ensures Trump's policies are kept under check, Obamacare is retained

* Republicans strengthening its position in Senate may lead to more conservative positions on immigration, healthcare by Trump. US Prez will have an easier time to get his picks confirmed in Senate

* Is Trumpism a thing without Trump in ticket. It probably still is with many middle road Republicans losing House races

Democrats pull one back in Senate. They flip the Nevada seat where the seating Senator Heller has lost by over 5% votes.

In the Governorship race, Democrats have flipped six Governor's house.

Close race going on in Montana, where Democrat incumbent is currently trailing by around 2% votes. However, there are lot of Democratic leaned pockets to be counted yet. 

In Arizona, McSally, the Republican nominee is ahead by 0.4% votes with 61% precincts reporting. 

In Mississippi, there is a faceoff as both candidates failed to reach the 50% mark. 

In House, Democrats have added 26 more seats so far, thus gaining control of the chamber. They have managed to flip 28 districts so far, whereas Republicans have reversed results in only 2 seats.

Republuicans have flipped three senate seats and look good to win in Florida too where democrat incumbent Nelson has already conceded defeat. That's a great night for Republicans in the Senate chamber. No wonder, Trump is elated.

They are also set to win in Arizona and Mississipi. 

As for House, Dems have now flipped 24 seats. So they have formally taken control of it. Now to extend the lead. Most believe Dems will be ahead of Republicans by over 20 seats. NYT is predicting 228 for Dems in House.

Democrats have picked up 20 House seats now. Just 3 more needed to formally take over the House and lots of races still to be called. Democrats may end up having a majority of over 30 seats according to some forecasts.

In Missouri, Democrat Senator McCaskill all set to lose the poll. That is now 3 seats gain for Republicans in the Senate.

Donald Trump has reacted. He believes there has been a tremendous success despite Republicans losing House. He is probably alluding to Republicans gaining seats in Senate.

13 House seats now flipped in favour of Democrats. Pennsylvania has been particularly productive for Democrats with them getting control of 4 seats where GOP was incumbent.

Ted Cruz is now projected to win Texas but Beto is not done in politics surely! He managed to fire the Democrat base, got massive funding. We will hear a lot about him in the future.

Democrat Joe Manchin holds on to his Senate seat in West Virginia, a deep red state. Good hold but may not be enough. Seating Democrat candidate Heitkamp in North Dakota has lost by over 30% votes. 

Democrats have started picking up some house seats actively now. They are up 11 seats currently according to MSNBC. It is likely that they may end up with over 30 gains in House, which will be enough to retake it.

Democrats have flipped three House seats so far. 20 more to win Senate. It is going to be touch and go.

Kentucky 6, one of the toss-up House seats have gone to Republicans. Polls have also closed in 15 other states. And results are likely to come in fast.

It looks like Democrats will end up losing Senate seat in Florida too. Currently Rick Scott is ahead of Democratic incumbent by over 64 k votes with 95% reporting. 

Republicans may end up with a bigger majority in Senate if this kind of trend continues.

Florida Senate and Governor race both looking extremely tight. Republicans are ahead by around 1% with around 90% votes being counted. 

Bad news coming for Democrats from Indiana. Donelly is trailing by over 12% votes. Did voting against Kavanaugh seal his fate? 

In a good news for Dems, Beto is currently leading in Texas by a decent 3.6% votes.

The polls have closed in at least 11 states and results are coming thick and fast. 

Democrats have so far picked up 2 out of 23 seats they need to get to get control of the House back. The two seats are in Florida and Virginia. Both Republican traditional seats going to Democrats. 538 based on its real time forecast expects Democrats to pick up additional 27 seats which will be enough for them to get a small majority in House. But the #BlueWave will be hoping for much more.
