Journalist throws shoe at Chidambaram in New Delhi

On April 7 this year, a journalist hurled a shoe at Union home minister P Chidambaram, while he was speaking at the Congress headquarters in New Delhi.

Sikh journalist Jarnail Singh of the Hindi daily Dainik Jagran hurled the shoe after an argument following a question to Chidambaram regarding the CBI clean chit to Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in the 1984 riots case in which members of the Sikh community were butchered.
