Two dead as South Korean ferry sinks; 295 missing

Two people have died and at least 295 are still unaccounted for after a ferry carrying 459 passengers and crew capsized off the south coast of South Korea on Wednesday, officials said. The vessel listed sharply and capsized within two hours of sending a distress signal at 9.00am (00.00 GMT). Officials fear many of the missing may still be trapped in the vessel.
