A Palestinian stabbed and injured two women outside a Jewish settlement in the West Bank on Thursday before being himself shot and wounded, Israel Radio said.
A Reuters witness saw at least 10 ambulances and dozens of Israeli troops at the site, a petrol station outside Kiryat Arba settlement that serves both Israelis and local Palestinians. Kiryat Arba abuts the Palestinian city of Hebron.
The Israeli military had no immediate comment on the incident, a day after Israel announced a partial freeze on settlement expansion to encourage US-sponsored peace talks, but which was rejected as insufficient by Palestinians.
The identities of the wounded women were not immediately given, nor was it clear who had shot the Palestinian.
