Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar will arrive in Beijing on her maiden visit on Tuesday in the backdrop of China blaming terror camps in the country for attacks in Xinjiang.

Khar is coming on a two-day visit at the invitation of her Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said.

"The two sides will exchange views on consolidating and deepening strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan and on other regional and international issues that are of concern to both," he said.

This is her maiden visit to China after she took over as Foreign Minister and is also the first Ministerial visit from Pakistan after the August 1 Chinese statement that the Uyghur militants who carried out attacks in Kashghar city in Xinjiang province were trained in terror camps in Pakistan.

Incidentally, ISI Chief Lt Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha visited Beijing around the same time to discuss Chinese concerns.

The allegation came as a surprise as it was for the first time China openly blamed terror camps in Pakistan, considering the close and strategic relations between the two.

After Pakistan promised full cooperation on the issue of East Turkistan Islamic Movement (ETIM) militants and even handed over some, Chinese Foreign Ministry subsequently praised Pakistan for its contribution to contain international terrorism.

Subsequently, Pakistan Ambassador to China Masood Khan told a seminar here on August 20, "Our two countries will continue to fight the ETIM. Our solidarity in this regard is rock solid."

He also proposed "integrated border management" which was expected to figure in Khar's talks with Chinese leaders.
