Pakistani political leadership has decided to seek credible evidence from Washington following recent allegations by US chief of staff Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen.

Sources say the top notches of the foreign ministry were advised on Friday to actively project Islamabad’s case to the American policy makers and other international powers, especially China, England, France and Germany to clarify its position on the Haqqani network.

The policy makers in Islamabad have decided to take the regional and international players on board to urge American military leadership to show evidence against Pakistan and its security forces, particularly the ISI.
