Motor dealer unearths £12million Nazi armoured sports car

A motor dealer has found an armoured sports car built for the Nazis worth 12million pounds. Nick Szkiler from Malton, North Yorkshire, unearthed the Mercedes 540K Special Roadster in a Russian farm.

Seemingly, Hitler's second-in-command Hermann Goering owned the vehicle. The car is believed to be an upgraded version of "Blue Goose," which is the most valuable classic car in the world.

A total of just 26 such cars were built, one of which was sold for 4million pounds two years ago. Goering possessed a car with bullet-proof glass and bomb-resistant armour, which was shipped to the US after the war and restored. Traces of the original colour and Goering's favorite, aviation blue, are still visible.

"There's little doubt that this was also Goering's," the Sun quoted Szkiler as saying. He added: "It would take at least a seven-figure sum to recondition it, then it'd be worth 12million pounds."
