An Australian dog lover is having a challenging time maintaining his new great Pyrenees-Snowbear or 'Bear' — as he eats a lot.
According to The Parramatta Advertiser, Gary Randfleish bought the dog earlier this year. There are only two such dogs in New South Wales.
At just four years old, the gentle giant weighs in at 75kg, outclassing his eight-year-old roommate Beethoven the Saint Bernard.
"He's a very friendly, calm soul who loves people. He's my best mate, and him and Beethoven make quite a pair and match each other quite well,'' the Daily Telegraph quoted Randfleish as saying.
In the past, Randfleish has owned Great Danes, Irish wolfhounds, snoodles and Labradoodles, but he said Bear topped them all when it came to maintenance.
"We go through lots of food — mainly chicken mince and wings, bones and dry food, but he doesn't like canned food. He won't touch the stuff," he said.
