John Edwards engaged to mistress just 3 weeks after burying wife

If reports are to be believed, then ex-North Carolina senator John Edwards has got engaged to his longtime mistress Rielle Hunter.

The January 17 issue of the National Enquirers has said that the former presidential candidate asked the mother of his lovechild to marry him only three weeks after burying his wife, Elizabeth, who died from cancer.

The couple is said to be tying the knot some time this summer.

"I do know that I love him and that love is till death do us part, and probably beyond," the Politico quoted Hunter as recently telling GQ magazine.

"We have a child together, so at the very least we will be co-parent together," Hunter added.
