DUBAI: Saudi Arabian authorities have launched a search operation for an Indian man who went missing in the Kingdom on Tuesday.

Younis Suleiman, 35, was reported missing by his wife after he failed to arrive home in Yanbu after leaving the grocery shop where he worked as a cashier.

Suleiman's brother, who searched for him at police stations and hospitals in Yanbu without success, said he was carrying SR500 (approx Rs 6,200) in cash that day.

"I've tried ringing his mobile phone but it is shut. My brother always leaves his mobile phone on and he never turns it off," the brother told 'Arab News'.

"We as a family are facing a difficult time trying to search for him. His wife and children are already going through a tough time," he said
