The death toll from an explosion in a building in Baghdad on Sunday as Iraq held a landmark parliamentary vote rose to 25, an Interior Ministry source said.

Officials blamed the blast on dynamite as insurgents sent a hail of mortar and rocket fire at polling stations elsewhere in a bid to derail the election, Iraq''s second for a full-term parliament since the 2003 US-led invasion.
