Lego's latest model is the biggest in its 74-year history

LONDON: Emperor Shahjahan may have had the Taj Mahal built 450 years ago by 20,000 workers but now you can build one all by yourself!

Lego, the international toy company that created plastic building bricks for children to play with, has launched their latest model and it is of the Taj Mahal. The biggest model in Lego's 74-year history, the Taj Mahal replica is made up of 5,922 pieces. When finished, your monument to love will measure 20 inches wide and over 16 inches tall.

Complete with domes, minarets, arches and stairs in the front, the set of white, blue and gold building bricks will come for the hefty price of £200. Lego warns that because the
Taj model features "advanced building techniques, rare elements and colours, and realistic details of architecture" it is made for experienced builders and has made the toy suitable for kids aged 14 and over.

"It will certainly present a challenge - but a fun one," said Jenny Brown, Lego spokeswoman.

While the original monument for Mumtaz Mahal may have taken 22 years to build, the Lego replica is expected to be made by in 35-40 hours.

The model has received rave reviews from Lego enthusiasts who have given it five bricks for both play experience and value for money and would fully recommend it to friends.

The model will be on sale from next month in the shops and can be ordered on line.
This is not the first modern wonder of the world that Lego has made a replica of. The Eiffel Tower can also be bought and built for £150.
