Eleven miners were killed when a coal mine collapsed in northern Afghanistan Saturday, Xinhua reported.
The accident took place around 6 am in Chinarak village of Nahrin district in Baghlan province.
The bodies were retrieved but a search was on to find out if any worker was still trapped inside, Nahrin district chief Fazul Rahman said.
