Twitter has been at the centre of a massive boycott campaign which started after the popular social media site suspended Hollywood actress Rose McGowan's account.
McGowab's account was shut down following her comments about the Harvet Weinstein controversy.
Every now and then, women on Twitter are subjected to vile abuses which forces them to either make their accounts private or delete their accounts. As history suggests, women have always been the victims of oppression.
So now when Twitter shuts down McGowan to raise her voice against alleged rape, the Twitter users seems disappointed. In solidarity with the actress and for all those women who were victims of harassment and oppression, the Twitterati have started the protest via the hashtag #WomenBoycottTwitter.
Tomorrow I follow the Women. #WomenBoycottTwitter
