The world is well-accustomed to Saudi Arabia's beauty as well as how stringent the country is when it comes to its religious customs. Something unexpected happened at the historic fort of Ushayqir, where a model who identifies herself as "Khulood" was seen walking through the village in a mini skirt and crop top.

Khulood was filmed with her consent and the video was initially uploaded on the social media site, Snapchat, after which it went viral on Twitter. The video led to a debate on social media, with some calling for her arrest for breaking country's strict dress code.

The country legally enforces a dress code and it is customary for women to wear loose-fitting, full-length robes termed as "abayas" in public, as well as a headscarf if they are Muslim. Saudi Arabia's press pixelated the woman's bare body parts and referred to her clothing as "Indecent" on print and well as on digital media. The authorities are investigating the video and the woman may be arrested for violating the country's law.
