White House suffers 'security breach'; Secret Service arrest man for 'unlawful entry' outside premises

The man, whose identity has not yet been made public, was taken to the District of Columbia Police and charged with unlawful entry.

The United States Secret Service has reportedly arrested a man who climbed over a temporary bicycle rack outside the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary said that the incident took place around 2:15 p.m. and was unsuccessful, reported ABC News.

The man, whose identity has not yet been made public, was taken to the District of Columbia Police and charged with unlawful entry. The incident comes just a week after a small drone was found on the White House grounds.

It is the latest in a series of security breaches at the White House recently that resulted in the resignation of the agency's Director, Julia Pierson, and a rejig of the agency's protocol.
