Watch: Disturbing video of a live donkey fed to tigers in Chinese zoo goes viral

The incident took place in Changzhou Zoo where the zoo shareholders push an unfortunate donkey to be fed to tigers of the zoo for 'cost saving' purposes in an inhumane act.

A disturbing video on Chinese social media went viral after few people in red raincoats threw a living donkey in water to feed it to the tigers of a Chinese Zoo.

The video shot in the Changzhou Zoo on June 5, 2016 by a visitor showed the shareholders of the zoo push an alive donkey from a truck in the tiger park of the zoo to feed the tigers. The hapless donkey was initially grabbed by two tigers from its back and then from its ear. The desperate donkey though trying to distance itself from the predators but was unfortunately grabbed by the tigers from the neck and then suffocated till death. Later in the video, four tigers are visible with the slain donkey which was killed after a struggle of  30 minutes.

According to a shareholder, the donkey was killed as the zoo faced some financial dispute and had to kill some animals for cost cutting. The visitors witnessed the entire scene and protested the shareholders after they intended to push a sheep to its death too.
