Trump's statement came immediately after a statement from Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, who said he was optimistic about his prospects of winning.
Predicting his second-term win in the US Presidential Elections 2020, Republican President Donald Trump in a tweet early on Wednesday accused Democrats of attempting to "steal" the election from him, without citing any evidence.
"We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it," Trump tweeted, adding, "A big win" for re-election.
His tweets came immediately after a statement from Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, who said he was optimistic about his prospects of winning.
"I believe we are in track to win this election. We feel good about where we are. I'm here to tell you that we are on track to win this election. We knew coz of the unprecedented early vote-mail-in vote," Biden said.
"We will know till every vote, every ballot is counted. We are feeling confident about Arizona, Minnesota and we are still in the game in Georgia, although we didn't expect it. We are feeling confident about Wisconsin. We are going to win in Pennsylvania. We will know the results by tom morning," he added.
Biden called on his supporters to be patient as votes continue to be tallied in the fight for the White House.
"It's not my place or Donald Trump's place to declare who has won this election," Biden said to a crowd of supporters in Wilmington, Delaware.
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has garnered a lead of 215 electoral votes against President Donald Trump's 171 votes in the US presidential polls, according to current projections by CNN on Tuesday.
To win the presidency, either Trump or Biden must acquire over 50 per cent of the electoral college vote, which is 538 in total. Therefore, each candidate must get a minimum of 270 electoral votes to clinch the presidency.
