UK referendum: Cameron on mission to rally support from EU leaders

In a bid to rally support from European Union leaders over his plan to renegotiate the United Kingdom's membership, Prime Minister David Cameron has begun a two-day tour of four European capitals: The Hague, Paris, Warsaw and Berlin.

The tour came as a bill paving the way for a referendum on UK's EU membership was launched in the House of Commons, reported the BBC.

The referendum bill was announced by the Queen in her speech as part of a packed legislative programme, which also included, increase in free childcare, an income tax freeze and the right to buy for housing association tenants. The bill contains the details of the question and the commitment to hold the vote by the end of 2017.
