The sources said Erdogan also met with European Council chief Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker during a NATO summit in Brussels, and added the three had emphasised the need to realise a 2016 migrant deal.

Turkey agreed in early 2016 to help curb the flood of migrants into Europe, in return for visa-free travel for Turks to Europe. But Brussels first wants Ankara to modify anti-terrorism laws that it says are too broad.
