Lady who lost her fiance in Lion Air crash, takes wedding photos alone to fulfil his last wish

It should have been the happiest day of their lives. Instead, an  Indonesian bride honored her deceased fiance with a touching photoshoot on what would have been their wedding day.

Intan Syari's fiance, Dr Rio Nanda Pratama, was among 189 people who were killed when the Boeing 737 crashed Oct. 29 shortly after taking off from Jakarta.

Ms Syari and Dr Pratama, both 26, had planned to get married Sunday, November 11. Dr Pratama, who had attended a seminar in Jakarta, was on his way home to Pangkal Pinang for the wedding.

Ms Syari said Dr Pratama had joked before leaving that if he was late in returning, Ms Syari should take photos in her wedding gown and send them to him.

According to Mr Deviandri, Mr Pratama shared a "heartbreaking joke" with his fiancee before he left, asking her to go ahead with the photo shoot if he failed to return.

"Even though I feel grief that I cannot describe, I still have to smile for you," Ms Syari wrote on Instagram. "I cannot be sad but should be strong like you always told me to be."

According to BBC, the couple had known each other for 13 years, and in earlier Instagram posts, Ms Syari had described Mr Pratama as her "first love."

"I was confused as to how the pictures would look ... and how to deal with Intan," said photographer Indra Permana to CNN. "But thanks to the strength of her heart the photographs turned out well."
