Toddler gets hold of gun, shoots and kills one year old in Ohio

According to the police, at lease one adult was present at the home during the time of the incident.

A one-year-old boy was shot dead by a three-year-old toddler in Cleveland, Ohio. According to reports, the boy picked up an unattended gun at a home during Sunday afternoon and accidently shot the other kid. 

The city's police chief Calvin Williams said that the detectives were trying to figure how exactly the three-year-old child came to find the gun. 

According to the report by Cleveland.com, the baby was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Complete details about the incident were not released. However, the police chief said that at lease one adult was present at the home during the time of the incident. 

Williams said, " It is a sad day for Cleveland. This This fascination that we have with handguns, not just in this city but in this country, has to stop. This is a senseless loss of life." 

Cleveland.com said the boy’s mother could be heard screaming on the back porch after learning her son had died. Neighbours said the mother lived in the house with at least three small children. The site further reported that the child's mother's screams was heard on the back porch after she became aware of the incident. According to the neighbours, the mother lived in the house with around three small children.
