The woman was beaten up regularly and was choked until she passed out.
What was supposed to be a nice afternoon date turned out to be a nightmare for a 20-year-old student from the University of Kansas. The student was held captive, beaten up and was kidnapped for upto six days by a man she met on Tinder.
Reports state that the woman left her sorority house at 2:30 pm on Tuesday to go on a date with a 30-year-old Shane Steven Allen. Both of them had met previously once and the date seemed to have gone smoothly.
However, according to the affidavit, the woman after her second date went to Allen's trailer with him where she worked on her college assignment which was due that night. Allen called up some of his friends and invited them to his trailer where the woman and his friend smoked marijuana.
After Allen's friends left, the woman got up at night to get water but Allen followed her and accused her of flirting with his friends. According to the affidavit, the woman denied the accusations and then Allen compared her to his ex-girlfriend and punched her in the eye and continued beating her. Allen refused to let the woman leave until her face was healed and held her captive for six days. Over this period of time, Allen regularly kicked her, strangled her and choked her until she passed out. He never left her alone and drove her to wherever he was heading to including a Mcdonald's restaurant, his friends' house and one of his relative's house, IBT UK reported.
Allen threatened to kill the woman and himself and asked her to message her friends saying that she was okay and that she would return home soon. He, however, let her go when she asked Allen to take her home and also promised to not call the police.
After arriving home, she was soon taken to the hospital where she was found with black eyes, swelling on her head, face and neck, bruising and broken blood vessels in her eyes. She also had multiple abrasions and scrapes on her knees and feet. The police intervened and got to know the entire story.
Allen was subsequently arrested and he has now been charged with kidnapping and battery. He could also face 32 years of prison if all the charges are found correct.
