In a day’s time, US President Barack Obama will hand over the reins to Donald Trump in a telecast that will be broadcast world over. People have expressed their disappointment that the Obama family will no longer be in charge of the United States, with some even encouraging Michelle Obama to contest for the presidential elections in 2020. It’s not just the United States that will miss him. People in India have posted comments on how the Obamas have inspired many with their actions and work.

To give us a sneak peek into their lives, White House photographer Pete Souza has for the past two weeks been pulling out archives of Obama’s presidency and has shared images through the eight years of the tenure. As you can see, Souza has picked moments Obama was caught unawares and is seen being himself with his family or his office staff.
