Jenny Chapman of Deeping St James, Cambs, has been identified as the loudest snoring Brit - her snores can even drown the sound of low flying jet.
Jenny's snores easily surpass the racket caused by washing machines, tractors, and trains and at 111.6 decibels they are even louder than an aeroplane.
The 60-year-old Jenny was declared the loudest of six chronic snorers at a two-day snoring "boot camp" held last week. The Sun quoted her as saying: "I was shocked to hear how loud my snoring was at its peak. I knew I was noisy but not that noisy.
"It was a bit embarrassing to be told in front of everyone but it was all good fun by then. "The experts said it was the loudest they had ever experienced. I can sympathise with my husband now - he's always complaining."
Jenny even considered a surgery to stop her snores after all medications failed. Speaking about the advice of experts the granny of four, said: "They recommended tips for a healthy living but I won't be giving up alcohol totally just yet - that's just too much to ask."
Her 62-year-old hubby Colin said: "If I was a betting man I would have put a sweep stake on her coming out on top. To put it bluntly, the snoring is abominable.
"It's been almost 20 years and I've not yet learnt to live with it. I do sympathise because Jenny doesn't only wake me and other people up, she wakes herself up as well.
"It gets really bad between about two and three in the morning and that's when I escape to the spare room. I usually tut loudly, close the door of the bedroom, close the door of the spare bedroom and then bury my head under a pillow. "It could be worse - she could be a sleepwalker."
Graham Carr-Smith from the boot camp organising firm, Helps Stop Snoring said: "We managed to lower the level of snoring in five out of six candidates which is testament to the fact that a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet, combined with our natural snoring remedies, really does work.
"I'll be staying in touch with Jenny and the rest of the guys to make sure they keep up all the hard work they put in this weekend."
