The son of Sweden's Prince Carl Philip and his wife Princess Sofia was christened at a ceremony in the royal palace chapel in Stockholm on Friday.

Prince Alexander Erik Hubertus Bertil was born on April 19 and is fifth in line to the Swedish throne. The christening was held at the Palace Chapel of the Drottningholm Palace.

Prince Alexander was dressed in a cream christening gown that has been worn by many Swedish royal babies before him.

The former model Sofia Hellqvist married Prince Carl Philip in June 2016 in a royal ceremony in Stockholm.

In true modern fashion, Princess Madeleine of Sweden, who is Carl Philips sister and currently sixth in the line to the throne, posted pictures of the royal christening on Facebook.
