Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has released a song in Mandarin to lure Chinese Muslims into joining the terror group and taking up arms.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the track is slickly produced and magnetically infectious, with lyrics that praise death in service of Islam. The media arm of ISIS, Al-Hayat Media Center, released the four-minute song and distributed through Twitter and messaging app, Telegram, on Sunday.

A male voice, enhanced with a digital echo, sings in the chorus, "We are Mujahid, our shameless enemy panics before us."

In June, the terror group released a video of an elderly man describing in a Turkic language his decision to join ISIS after decades of oppression in China and the death of his son in Syria. The video later shows what appear to be Uighur children in military clothing being interviewed about traveling to join ISIS.

Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said that she was not aware of the song but hoped to safeguard the citizens through global cooperation.
