Saudi King Salman in a royal decree on Friday replaced the kingdom's information minister and sacked Saudi's civil service minister, setting up a committee to investigate allegations of abuse of that office.

The royal decree, broadcast on state-run Ekhbariya TV, also set up a national security centre under the royal court and named Ibrahim al-Omar as governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, known as Sagia.
