Robin Williams' daughter, Zelda, has deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts after "cyber trolls" started posting photoshopped pictures claiming it was her dad's body along with crude and hateful remarks.

The 25-year-old actress said that she couldn't take it anymore and she won't be opening the link which Twitter requires, after few users criticized the fact that she didn't post enough pictures of her father, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Though the two accounts that tweeted the message, @PimpStory and @MrGoosebuster, have been suspended, the 'House of D' star tweeted "I'm sorry. I should've risen above. Deleting this from my devices for a good long time, maybe forever. Time will tell. Goodbye."

Zelda then posted on Instagram before shutting it down that she would be leaving this account for a bit while she heal and decide if she would be deleting it or not and requested people to be respectful of the accounts of her, her family and her friends in this difficult time.

She stated that mining their accounts for photos of dad, or judging her on the number of them was "cruel and unnecessary", but the real private moments she shared with him were precious, quiet, and not full of photos or "selfies".

She further wrote that she shared him with a world where everyone was taking their photo with him, but she was lucky enough to spend time with him without cameras too, which was more than enough, and she was grateful for what little time she had.

Zelda added that her favourite photos of family were framed in her house, not posted on social media, and they would remain there otherwise they would've wound up on the news or blogs then, which is something she didn't want for their memories together.

Robin Williams, the versatile actor whose madcap comic style made him one of television and film's biggest stars, was found dead on Monday from an apparent suicide at his home in Northern California.
