US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka, whose India visit begins next week, is unlikely to be accompanied by high-ranking officials of the State Department, a media report said today.

According to CNN, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has decided not to send a high-level delegation to support Ivanka on her India trip, amid reports of tensions between Tillerson and the White House.

Ivanka, a Senior Advisor to the President, will attend this year's Global Entrepreneurship Summit, being held in Hyderabad from November 28-30.

"No one higher than the deputy assistant secretary is allowed to participate. The secretary and his top staff have insisted on approving all travel-- even the most minute details," a senior State Department official was quoted as saying by CNN.

"They (Tillerson and his staff) won't send someone senior because they don't want to bolster Ivanka. It's now another rift between the White House and State at a time when Rex Tillerson doesn't need any more problems with the President," the official added.

Ivanka is leading a delegation of American officials, women entrepreneurs and businessmen for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 (GES), which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 28.

Ivanka will also deliver the keynote address at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre in Hitec City.

The summit, to be attended by 1,500 entrepreneurs from 170 countries, will have around 350 participants from the US, a large number of whom are Indian-Americans.

PM Modi will also host Ivanka at Hyderabad's Taj Falaknuma, which claims to have the 'world's largest dining hall'.

Meanwhile, a report on Saturday said Ivanka will get Presidential-level security in India in the wake of heightened threat perception.
