Being sexually assaulted in one of the most painful traumas that a person can experience. So it is understandable that victims don’t need to be further harmed by being shamed for this heninious crime. The victims are asked several questions by people. Be it cops or neighbours or any someone from the famil, the vicitims are always shamed for being raped.

A Lebanese NGO released a video on social media where a rape victim seen asking help from the people on streets and the way people reacted, will totally shock you.

Manal, a young girl plays a rape vicitim in the video and reactions from the people around her will put you in shame. It will make you question the society we live in.

Called 'Shame On Who?', the campaign attempts to de-stigmatise sexual assault by putting the blame on the perpetrator instead of the victim. Here's the video...

She is asked questions ranging from 'Are you drunk?' to 'Are you on drugs?' by people who pass her by, both men and women. Some women ask her to 'not say these things out loud', while others say she is 'just some whore someone f****d and left on the streets'.

A man also asks others to look at her clothes - a white top and skirt - before going on to proclaim that his 'sister would never wear such clothes'.

The now-viral campaign was launched by Lebanese non-profit organisation Abaad. They began by sending anonymous messages to people asking 'Shame On Who?'
The main motive of the NGO was to show the attitude of people towards a rape victim.

The video has garnered lot of traction on social media and triggered a debate about the same.
