The Queen is now seeking a new travel aide in place of the former one, who has been suspended again on grounds of his notorious and unacceptable behaviour at the palace.

Matthew King, 41 was recently suspended after he turned up drunk for work.

This is not the first time he got suspended, as he was removed from his post last year too, after he took home a rare orchid given to Her Majesty on a state visit to Abu Dhabi and Oman.

“There were two of them and he thought no one would notice,” the Daily Express quoted an insider as saying.

But after this incidence, King returned at the Royal Collection, where he was given a temporary position.

He was the Queen’s Footman until he made headlines around the world in 1999 when he was discovered getting her beloved corgis drunk on whisky and gin.

King paid the price for his misdeed as the Queen demoted him to the post Travelling Yeoman, in charge of checking luggage and moving equipment for the royals and staff on visits, both here and abroad.

King’s job is now being advertised on the British Monarchy website, offering a salary between 26,000- 34,000 pounds, with benefits but no accommodation for a 35-hour week.

The job involves taking care of luggage and equipments, booking air flights and rail journeys, obtaining visas and arranging trips on the royal train.
