President Trump says VP Pence will be his running mate in 2020 election

President Donald Trump on Wednesday said that Vice President Mike Pence will be his running mate in 2020, when he seeks the second term in the White House. 

In the middle of a news conference at the White House on Wednesday, Trump was asked if Pence would be on the ticket.

Trump said he hadn't asked Pence yet but then turned to the vice president and asked, "Mike, will you be my running mate? Will you?" 

Pence acknowledged that he would on which Trump responded to the reporter, "The answer is yes." 

"That was unexpected but I feel very fine," Trump said.
