Duchess Kate is undergoing hypnotherapy in order to overcome food aversion, it has been revealed.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who is due with her first child in July, spent time in the hospital for hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), or acute morning sickness, in December.

“Kate still looks at food and feels nauseous,” Fox News quoted friend, Jessica Hay as telling Australia’s New Idea Magazine.

She’s been plagued with that feeling you have when you’ve had food poisoning, and your stomach’s shrunk, Hay said.

HG is certainly uncomfortable for any mom-to-be, as victims have severe nausea and vomiting, which can lead to dehydration.

Patients are usually hospitalized so they can be fed intravenously.

Doctors have ordered Kate to “rest as much as possible,” following her release from King Edward VII hospital.

Hay said that Kate’s diet includes snacks such like avocados, berries, oatmeal and broccoli.

She finds it very hard to eat a full meal, and gets full very quickly, Hay said.
