A woman recently woke up in a Polish morgue refrigerator 11 hours after being declared dead, it has been reported. The  staff at the morgue got the fright of their lives as the Janina Kolkiewicz's body bag began to move according to media reports.

The 91-year-old was declared dead after being found lying on the floor at her home in Ostrow Lubielski in eastern Poland by her family. Director of births and deaths registry in the town, Henryk Klementewicz, said that neither he nor his predecessor who headed the office for 30 years have ever come across anything like this. Ms Kolkiewicz, since her recovery, has been getting back to her old self by enjoying tea and pancakes.

Acccording to the doctor Wieslawa C, there was no basic 'life function' in the women when she first investigated her. According to the media reports, the doctor was so sure of demise of the lady that she didn't even bother to call ambulance. Some two hours after doctore pronounced the elderly lady dead, she was taken to the morgue. Then the unbelievable happened!

The lady is thankfully back to full health now but legal complications remain in this peculiar case. A deah certificate was already issued on her name and hence she is no longer entitled to all the benefits provided by the state. Now concerned authorities have been contacted to void the death certificate.
