British police has reportedly urged citizens to attend the Armed Forces Day events as normal after an alleged plot to explode a pressure cooker bomb at a parade in South London was foiled. The attack, planned by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), was revealed after one of its leaders in Syria unwittingly recruited an undercover investigator from The Sun newspaper to carry it out, reported The Guardian.

The intended bombing would have targeted soldiers from the same unit as soldier Lee Rigby, who was murdered by Islamist extremists in 2013.
