Pippa Middleton has reportedly refused to do any promotion interviews for her book Celebrate as she fears embarrassing her sister Kate and brother-in-law Prince William because the book has managed to sell only 5,000 copies, despite her 4,00,000-pound advance.

Two weeks ago, the 29-year-old socialite helped publisher Penguin launch her party planning book in a blaze of publicity.

The book is being sold for a discounted price of 12 pounds and 13 pounds, down from it’s initial price of 25 pounds.

The book has slumped to 177 in Amazon’s UK book charts, and Penguin is in danger of failing to recoup its generous advance.

In America, the book was ranked at 303 by Amazon.
