Peter Brant's son jokes about ‘contingency plan’ to kill Barack Obama

A young American boy has made a very public, but unwise joke, of killing President Barack Obama on Instagram

Peter Brant II, the 18-year-old son of publishing mogul Peter Brant and supermodel Stephanie Seymour, exchanged mocking text messages with friend Andrew Warren after Obama won his re-election bid to White House.

Warren joked that the election results were going to make him ‘poor’, to which Brant replied: "I have a contingency plan. Kill Obama hahaha."

According to the Huffington Post, the remark was then followed by a joke about women’s rights.

Not wishing this witty exchange to remain just between the two friends, Brant took a screenshot and posted it to his Instagram.

Later, people started commenting on the message with some finding it hilarious, and others feeling very much the opposite.

According to the report, Warren, however, took to Twitter to defend himself on Wednesday.

“People seriously need to take a joke, the instagram obviously wasn't serious. Everyone can move on now I obviously believe in women's rights,” he tweeted.
