The Peshawar school massacre probe has been extended to Afghanistan as Pakistani security forces have arrested accomplices and facilitators of the Taliban attackers, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said on Saturday.

"The security forces, police and other law enforcement agencies have achieved a big success in the investigation into the Taliban attack on an army school in Peshawar," Chief Minister Pervez Khattak claimed. He said that the investigation into the attack has been extended to Afghanistan and unregistered Afghan refugees would be restricted to camps.

Earlier, at least 105 terror suspects, including Afghan nationals, were arrested here on Saturday as part of the Pakistan government's offensive against militants after the Taliban's deadly school attack in the city. The Chief Minister said that restoration of peace in the province is the top priority of the provincial government and concrete steps are being taken in this regard.

He said that 1000-strong counter-terrorism force will be set up in the province and police will be provided with latest equipment and training to fight terrorists. Welcoming the formation of special military courts to hear terrorism-related cases, Khattak said, "It was the need of hour." He said that the army school attack, in which 150 people, mostly children were killed, has united the nation against terrorism.
